Client:         London Borough Council of Barking and Dagenham

Contract sum:    £1,700,000

Project:        Eastbury Comprehensive School, Phase 8
New Assembly Hall and Administration Suite and Sixth Form Centre

Kevin Barnaville carried out the full RIBA service, client liaison, design, production drawings and site supervision, concluded under Tristans Architects Limited, for the prestigious Assembly and Administration Building of the school.  The project has been a successful component of this large comprehensive school and has been widely admired by other schools in the borough.

Client:         Lambeth College, London Borough of Lambeth

Project 1:
Contract sum:    £60,000

New lift access for disabled students for the Wandsworth Road Building of
Lambeth College required to comply with the regulations for access for all students

Project 2:
Contract sum:    £300,000

The re-design and refurbishment of the Victorian Knight’s Hill Annexe into a Sixth Form Centre and Adult Education Centre on two levels within an existing hall space

Project 3:
Contract sum:    £250,000

The design of four crèches for students at the Brixton, Vauxhall, Norwood and Clapham centres financed by the Further Education Funding Council
 
 
Client:         Newcastle College, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumbria

Contract sum:    £300,000

Project:    New Lecture Auditorium for Newcastle College.

The design and construction of a new Lecture Auditorium for Newcastle College which was based upon the reuse of an existing kitchen building and included the UK’s first installation of the innovative chilled ceiling system. Working in coordination with a fresh air delivery system designed and installed by international heating and ventilation specialists, an optimum internal environment for the students during lectures was planned and, from subsequent monitoring, we know that this was achieved.
